1. Install it, then switch the reminders on in the same sitting. Odoone Licence & Permit Tracker is in the Odoone apps catalogue. Install it, grant Licences: Manager to whoever will configure the types, and enable Licence Renewal Reminders under Settings › Technical › Scheduled Actions — the module is a filing cabinet until you do, and nothing on screen will tell you it is silent.
2. Put every document you hold on one sheet of paper before you type anything. Name, number, issuing authority, issue date, expiry date, and the one person who will chase the renewal. Then record them, attach the scans, and press Activate on each. An hour with the physical file is the whole implementation.
3. Confirm your own renewal terms with the body that licensed you. Ask your Emirate's licensing department or your free zone how long each of your documents runs, how long a renewal takes in practice, and what they need from you. Write that lead time into the longest reminder offset on each type. It is the one number in this course that has to come from outside it.
