What to do next
- Read the catalog once, end to end. If the module is not installed yet, get it from the Odoone apps catalogue or tick UAE Identifiers on Settings › UAE, then open Settings › Accounting › Configuration › United Arab Emirates › Identifier Catalog and group by storage kind. Twenty minutes with that screen tells you what your company is expected to hold and where each value already lives.
- Enter only the registry rows you actually hold. On the company's UAE Company Setting tab, add rows under UAE Registrations & Identifiers for the identifiers that apply to you and leave the rest alone. An empty row is not a gap in your compliance; an invented one is a liability.
- Decide who holds Manager, and write the archiving rule down. One or two people should be able to change these numbers, everybody else should be able to read them, and the rule when a number changes is always archive first, then create. Put that sentence in your closing checklist and the register stays trustworthy without anybody policing it.
Where you go next depends on which identifiers turned out to matter to you, so choose from what you actually hold rather than from the module list:
- You are still setting the company up. Take course 1.1 first if you have not; the fiscal country it sets is what makes every screen in this course appear.
- Your tax registrations are the numbers that matter. Course 2.1 covers the VAT 201 return and Corporate Tax end to end, and it is where those registrations do their work.
- You are filling in employee records. Courses 4.1 and 4.2 cover UAE payroll and the social insurance and unemployment schemes, which are where employee identifiers stop being paperwork and start being calculations.
- You keep a trade licence, or a register of beneficial owners. Courses 1.5 and 1.4 stand on their own and can be taken in any week that suits you.
Not sure which identifiers your company is actually expected to hold, or working across several companies in one database? Talk to Odoone about your UAE setup. An hour spent getting this register right is an hour you do not spend reconstructing a number from an old invoice during an audit.
This content is general information for UAE businesses, not tax, legal, or financial advice. Rules change and cases differ — speak to a qualified advisor about your situation. Software behaviour described above is drawn from the user guides of Odoone UAE Identifiers and its HR Bridge; where those guides are silent, this course says so rather than filling the gap.
